NIMBUS ACCESS CARD

Untitled design 18

To help us provide the best possible service, we’re collaborating with Nimbus Disability and introducing the Access Card; a universal way of communicating access requirements for Roundhay Festival.

Nimbus Disability is a social enterprise run by and for disabled people, and is recognised as a leading authority on accessible ticketing in the UK.

Faster and easier booking: No more need to contact our team separately for Ground Level Viewing Area or Viewing Platform tickets. The online platform offers clear options and real-time availability.

No longer a need to carry supporting documents: The system offers greater privacy, as people with access requirements will no longer need to carry supporting documents or explain circumstances to staff. You'll only need to supply the information once.

Registration Options

There are 2 registration options that accessible customers can choose from:

  • Free AXS registration code (basic) - this lets your account be recognised for any events sold through the ticketing partner AXS. Register Here.

  • Full Access Card (costs £15 for three years) - gives you all the same access as the free option above but with a few extras mentioned below. Register Here.
    1. Photo ID card with accessibility symbols.

    2. Recognised at many venues across the UK & possibly beyond.

    3. Access to an online directory of accessible venues.

    4. Membership in a closed community / social group

Already have your Access Card or access registration code? You're ready to book tickets! Simply make sure you have your registration code or Nimbus Card ID ready at the time of booking your tickets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book Ground Level Viewing Area or Viewing Platform tickets if I don’t have a Nimbus Access Card or access registration code from AXS.com?

No. Please note that all 2026 Roundhay Festival guests will require a Nimbus Card ID or guests need to be registered with AXS’s free access registration scheme.

How can I book accessible tickets if I’ve applied for an Access Card or AXS registration code, but I haven’t received it yet in time to book tickets?

Please note that it takes approximately 72 hours (3 business days) to receive approval for a free AXS registration access code or Nimbus Access Card, followed by 3-5 working days for the card to arrive in the post, totalling around 4-8 working days for the whole process. This may vary during peak times or for different application methods.

If you’re worried that you don’t have your Nimbus card or AXS registration code in time to book tickets, you can call the AXS accessible bookings team on 0344 581 0909. They can put Ground Level Viewing Area or Viewing Platform tickets on hold for you for 7 days while you wait for your card or code approval.

Monday – Friday operating hours are 9am-5:30pm. Closed on weekends and public holidays.

Can I book accessible tickets over the phone?

There is usually significant demand when events go on sale, so we advise that guests purchase accessible tickets online rather than attempting by phone to free the line for customers who require accessible assistance when booking tickets.

To book accessible tickets, you'll need your Nimbus Access card or AXS access registration code. If you require more than 2 tickets, please call the AXS accessible bookings team on 0344 581 0909, and they will do their best to assist.

Monday – Friday operating hours are 9am-5:30pm. Closed on weekends and public holidays.

Please note, this phoneline is for Ground Level Viewing Area and Viewing Platform ticket bookings only, or if you need to add a Personal Assistant ticket to your order.

How do I get a free Personal Assistant ticket for ticket types other than the Ground Level Viewing Area/Viewing Platform, apply for BSL requirements or request additional accessible requirements?

Please click HERE to fill out the form and to provide information on the accessible requirements you need. Requests include but are not limited to requesting to bring a guide dog, requesting a medication exemption form for medical equipment or medication, BSL requirements, accessible queue, accessible toilets, etc.

Important: Ground Level Viewing Area and Viewing Platform tickets automatically include a free PA ticket, so you do not need to complete this form to request one.
If you have another ticket type (e.g. General Admission, VIP) and require a PA ticket, please complete the form and attach your supporting documents.

The closing date for completing this form and submitting evidence is 4 weeks prior to the show. If you do not submit your supporting documents 4 week prior to the show your order may be cancelled, this is to ensure that the facilities and complimentary companion passes are only booked by those requiring them.

Can I upgrade to the Access Card after I've registered with AXS for free?

You’re able to upgrade your registration to a full Access Card application at the beginning or at the end of the application for just £15 for three years – just get in touch with the Access Card team HERE

Is there accessible seating in the Ground Level Viewing Area and the Viewing Platform area?

Please note that seating is not reserved in the Ground Level Viewing Area and Viewing Platform. This is allocated on a first come first served basis on arrival.
